Mary Casey Ladd, MSW, LMFT has 45+ years of experience working as a family therapist. Her family therapy training began in 1974 while working at The Bridge for Runaway Youth, Inc. in Minneapolis, MN. During her 12 years at The Bridge, she completed the Intensive Family Therapy Program at The Family Therapy Institute (FTI) in St. Paul, MN. FTI brought family therapy pioneers to St. Paul including: Murray Bowen, Virginia Satir, Carl Whitaker, Salvador Minuchin and Fred Ford. Additionally, during this same time period, she was trained to work with chemically dependent family systems through The Johnson Institute.
Over the course of her career she completed specialized training in Marital/Couple’s Therapy; Family Treatment of Trauma and Abuse; Narrative Family Therapy; Adolescent Development within the Family Context; MultiGenerational Bowen Family Systems Therapy; Structural Family Therapy; and, most recently, the evidence based practices with birth to five year olds and their caregivers including: Attachment Bio-Behavioral Catch-Up; Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT); Trauma Informed Child Parent Psychotherapy.
Mary Casey Ladd also has 35+ years providing organizational consultation and trainings; clinical consultation for LGSW’s, LaMFT’s and LPC’s in Minnesota; undergraduate and graduate social work education, and workshops designed for mental health and social service providers.
